The combo plate that we have chosen is the combination of Pulehu Chicken, Teriyaki Beef with a side of rice and macaroni salad. The Pulehu Chicken taste as if it is fresh off the grill from a lou out. With the moist center and char grilled edges makes this combination of sweet and smokey flavors come to life. The Teriyaki beef melts in your mouth at first bite. I do not know how they make the beef so tender but it is well worth the effort they put into their food. Complementing all of this is the scoop of rice that comes with this combo. The rice is a sweet sticky rice that complements both meats. Which I like to combine with each bite I take. The macaroni salad is a hit and miss but when it is good it is great. Some days there is way too much mayonnaise in it, so try at your own risk.

Not much to look at on the outside but on the inside is a warm greeting and smiling faces!

Once we entered Samurai Sushi the warm atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. As my family sat down to enjoy our meal the helpful staff was able to point out the popular and most interesting items on the menu. My husband and I were in search of a good simple spicy tuna roll. What the staff suggested we now refer to as "the tuna bomb" which is the family's favorite. Let's start with the appetizers.

Jalapeno Poppers

crab meat, cream cheese and spicy tuna stuffed in a jalapeno surrounding a salad with ginger dressing.

Not overly spicy like your traditional jalapeno popper but just enough kick. Wonderful starter to your meal.

The Tuna Bomb (The Samurai Bomb Roll)

It is spicy tuna rolled in rice then fried, cut open and served. it is way too big to eat with chop sticks, so you have to use your hands to dig in to this massive portion.

This is my husbands favorite partly because is likes to see how fast he can say it to the staff with out tongue tying.

(This is my daughters favorite)

I highly recommend trying out this local sushi spot! The prices are very reasonable to the local area and the portion sizes are very generous, I have left with a take home container several times. The staff is very attentive to you and very sweet to talk to as well.

**During winter or icy weather be careful of the parking lot and walking areas for ice accumulation.**

Great news aside let me warn wait time can be up to an hour and thirty minutes, food can be luke warm upon delivery.

Cold, warm, fresh it doesn't matter the food is awesome! Prices are great as well!! Our order was for three chicken enchilada combos, Three special Tacos and Nachos with melted cheese.

After warming the enchiladas just a little bit I was in heaven!! The sauce was perfect along with the seasoning used with the chicken. I do wish that there was a bigger salsa container delivered with these meals but either way the enchiladas were amazing. The special beef tacos, well let me start by saying I had to steal one from my husband when he wasn't looking. The overstuffed Tacos smothered in salsa cheese and all the fixings was over the top best I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant.

For your money and the convenience of staying in this is the best bang for your buck!! I highly recommend trying them through delivery or fresh at one of their many, many restaurants across anchorage.

Nice décor and staff. The waitress was very sweet and made sure we got a military discount with our order. She also went on to inform us that they try to keep the menu close to traditional based Chinese foods.

We have ordered delivery and in store, I highly recommended to pick up your order over delivery. The second time we ordered in store and took it home with us and it was a world of a difference. Either way our food portions were the same and huge. My family of three each ordered from the menu and there was enough to share with each other and left overs.

Out of the three orders that we made that night the General Tso's and sweet and sour were the best. I highly recommend the General Tso's. The sweet and tangy flavors mixed with a little spiced really set this dish off right.

Prices are average for the area. If you are available they do offer a lunch buffet. It was recommended to us to come in then to sample the ever changing buffet bar to see what is offered.

Overall this is a typical wing place. The food was average and so are the prices. If you enjoy chicken wings this is close to the post with a comfortable setting including the military friendly photos and memorabilia on the walls. They also do run specials just check the website before going.

If you are not a spicy type of person then be careful when ordering, things can get hot pretty fast, even on salads.

This was a pure pregnancy craving fixed that turned out to be a great idea!

This is a 24 hour donut shop for anyone who is a night owl or a night time muncher....or pregnant. When you walk through the doors of this glazed utopia the smell of sugary goodness hits you and you immediately go to a happy place. The mass selection of donuts plus the reasonable prices makes this another great place to stop in.

I highly recommend the cinnamon sugar twist and the Boston cream pie donut. The Boston cream pie donut has a vanilla pudding inside and chocolate on top. It is heavenly wonderful.

Chef Special- two beef patties on a hoagie roll with cheese, onions and au jus dipping sauce.

Chili Burger- open faced burger with patties served on top of buns, covered in chili with beans. Took option for side of cole slaw.

Jr. Omelet- With mushrooms, cheese and reindeer sausage. Side of toast and hash browns. With pink lemon aid.

Despite the dated décor , the staff, service and food was great. If you miss your home-style local diner, this is the place to go. If you are from North Carolina then you will appreciate the Chili burger here with the side of slaw. Missing my North Carolina style burger I put my slaw on top and it tasted like a Carolina style burger.

My daughter enjoyed her Jr. Omelet very much. She kept going on and on about how good it was and how tasty it was. There was nothing left on her plate when she came up for air.

The Chef special that my husband had, was similar to a French dip but with hamburger and two different types of cheese. He enjoyed it very much.

They serve breakfast and lunch time items. The staff was very sweet and this is a place I can see my family and I going to over and over. In addition to the great service and food the prices are very reasonable and the best I have seen since moving here.
